The Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature would like to thank our current and former Armed Forces service members. The Legislative offices and most of the government (non-gaming) operations were closed for the day to allow our families to spend some time with their veterans, in hopes to make up for some time that veteran was away while serving. Here are the veterans from the Legislative Offices. Thank you all for your service!
Paul Fox, a representative from District 4, was in service 1986-1989, fresh out of High School and served Army and reserves and was only stateside from Alabama to Minnesota during peacetime. He was trained Military Police but basically a chauffeur for the company commander.
Mike Owen is a gaming commissioner, served from Sept 1988 to Sept 1992. He was an Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd class (AMS3). He was stationed at NAS Jacksonville (FL) and was deployed to NAS Sigonella, Sicily and NAS Keflavik, Iceland, 6 months each.
